My 29th Birthday

John surprised for my birthday and took me to Temecula to one of our favorite vineyards.  We had brunch with our favorite champagne!  It was so beautiful with all the blooming flowers.  I then pulled out my camera to take pics of the flowers and John surprised me again with a macro-lens for my camera for me to take very up close pics of the flowers. (that's one of my favorite things to do!)  It was a great birthday!

Here are some pics of the flowers with my new lens!

John's Wetting Down Party

The Coasties know how to party!   A wetting down party is a tradition when a coastie gets a promotion.  They are supposed to take a portion of their raise and throw a party/get-together for all the other coasties.  Several of the Coasties, including John, got together and pooled their money to have a big party out on the Point again.  It was a beautiful day with good food, a bouncy-bounce!, an awesome band, and good times.

Our Big Trip and Our Big Surprise!!!

John did a great job planning our trip up the coast. He has spent weeks planning our route.  For those of you who haven't talked to us in a while, John renewed his private pilots license and actually decided to rent us a plane and fly us to Oregon vs. flying commercially.
It was awesome, but we will definitely have to win the lottery if we want to continue flying like that!  Even Jasper wanted to get in on the planning!

On the way up to Oregon, we flew through crazy beautiful clouds!  The sun was setting and it was unbelievable!  John did awesome flying and the plane was great!

We celebrated all weekend for Johns Jaja's (grandfather) 80th birthday.  His whole family got dressed up and went out to dinner to celebrate and of course we had to have cake after.  Jaja's big birthday present was a white cowboy hat like John Wayne, one of his favorite stars.

John's niece, Lizzy, had never been to the ocean before.  We couldn't get her out of the water! And of course she was soaked by the time we left. The beach was beautiful and very quiet, much different from San Diego beaches!  We even saw a Coast Guard 65 flying over the beach.

Later in the day, John took me back to the same beach and proposed to me out on the jetty!!  The picture of the jetty's are from the air in the plane on the way out of Oregon.  We had climbed out into the middle of the one on the left when he proposed!! It was so romantic.  It was also great we got to go grandparents house after and celebrate with John's whole family!! This picture is of us right after he proposed!

After having to leave Oregon, we headed to Northern California, specifically Humbolt County to have lunch with some friends from the Coast Guard.  The coastline throughout Oregon and California was gorgeous! We made it home safe and sound via John's awesome flying!  We had such a great time. Thanks everyone!!  Can't wait to see you all soon!

I just got my ring back today from being sized! It's absolutely beautiful!

More plants

Here is one of our hibiscus and we have grapes that are growing from what we thought was an out of control weed!!
