Christmas 2009

Christmas morning with 2 little ones and both John's and my family was awesome! We had both of our families traditional breakfasts and enjoyed just hanging out together. We had so much fun with everyone and can't wait to see everyone again!

The puppies were tired out with all the commotion.

Here our 2 nieces, Lizzie 31/2 years and Mckinley 5 months old. They were sooo good all week long and so much fun to have around! We miss them!

The Grinch who Stole Christmas

This year with all the family in town, we decided to go to the Grinch musical here in SD at Balboa Park. The musical was awesome with great actors and great sets! Lizzie, our niece, really was excited about it, but sometimes it was just a little too loud!

We tried to take a family picture for Christmas, however it was impossible to get all the dogs to look at the camera at the same time.

The weekend before Christmas, we went over to our friends house and helped them paint their bedroom. During the day, their son Connor found our fun Santa hats and he wouldn't let go of them!

Coast Guard Christmas Party 2009

The Coast Guard Christmas party was again at a local hotel in the ballroom. All of our friends were there and we even got up to do a little dancing! We had a great time!

Christmas Lights!!!!

There is a neighborhood about 1/4 mile from our house that goes crazy with decorating for Christmas!!! There are about 6 houses that deck out every inch of their yard. They decorate all of their windows like picture windows and have every kind of decoration you can think of! I'm glad we are not paying for those electric bills!

SNOWBOARDING!!! in Big Bear

We found snow!!! John and I have been going snowboarding the past 2 Saturdays! It's been really nice enjoying being up in the mountains and outdoors away from San Diego.

We brought the dogs to Big Bear and they slept in the car as we snowboarded for the morning. Then we decided to find some trails and let them have some fun! They were in heaven in all the new powder! Jasper as you can see enjoys snowballs.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving was great! It was our first time hosting it and although sometimes it was a little stressful, everything worked out perfect. John fried the turkey out in the driveway. We had sooo much food. Alex and Nell, friends from the Coast Guard in Northern California, came down with their 2 puppy dogs to share Thanksgiving with us. We had other friends from San Diego also come to celebrate. We had a great time and are thankful for all of our friends!

We headed to the San Diego zoo with all of our friends and of course I had to take lots of pics!

The afternoon in Balboa Park with the puppy dogs was fun. We actually got everyone to sit still and get a picture taken!

Knott's Berry Farm

John and I both had today off so we decided to run away to Knott's Berry Farm (an amusement park in Orange County). They have free admission for all military and one guest, Sweet!! We had a great time riding all the rollercoasters and some of the water rides. There were absolutely no lines...we seriously walked up to every ride and got on without any wait!!! Wish it was like that everytime!

Flying over San Diego

John decided he wanted to take me flying over San Diego at night to see all the lights. We not only got a beautiful sunset but we got to see all the lights. It was beautiful!

Wigs and Moustachy Party!!

One of the girls at work decided to have a wig and moustache party. So John and I had a good time getting dressed up! No one at the party recognized me in the red wig and everyone thought John definitely looked the part! We had fun and will probably dress up again for Halloween!!
