Wigs and Moustachy Party!!

One of the girls at work decided to have a wig and moustache party. So John and I had a good time getting dressed up! No one at the party recognized me in the red wig and everyone thought John definitely looked the part! We had fun and will probably dress up again for Halloween!!

Fall 2009 in San Diego

So John and I are feeling like we needed a little fall, so we headed north to Escondido to the Bates Nut Farm. I think we were the only family there without kids, but we had 3 hairy children with us! There were pony rides, a petting zoo, and tons and tons of pumpkins. Our friends Cammie and Tony came with us with their son Connor who loved all the action. The dogs were sooooo good ad we had to pose them as if they were our kids. Nobody could believe how good they were with taking pics.

Just a few pics of a pretty sunflower I found at the pumpkin patch. Love playing with my macro lens!

THE MS BIKE RIDE

As many of you know, John and I have been training hard for a local charity bike ride. We raised money for Multiple Sclerosis in the meantime. John's dad drove out from Texas and did the ride with us. John and his dad rode 100 miles the first day, and I rode 50 miles. It was a crazy experience biking through the neighborhoods through So Cal with 2,500 other riders. We were tired but very happy by the end of the day, and don't forget hungry!!

These pictures are of Day 2 of the ride. We were sleepy but ready to rock Sunday morning. We rode 5o miles in 3 hours and traveled from Carlsbad to Mission Bay. The finish line was right across from the dog beach. They had tons of music, food, and partying awaiting us at the finish line.

I saw this crazy dyed dog at the finish line and had to take a picture!! Of course John and I are currently totally into riding and looking for our next ride.

Brad Paisley Concert

We've been going to more concerts lately. We saw Toby Keith last month and just saw Brad Paisley in the outdoor ampitheater in SD. Brad's so good in concert and we had a ton of fun!
I think next I'm going to drag John to Broadway's The Lion King which is town.

2009 San Diego Air Show

Well it was stupid question when I asked John if he wanted to go the air show at Miramar (a local marine air station). It was his heaven, miles of pavement covered in Jayhawks (60's), Phrogs (46's), A-10's, F-18's, you name it, it was there. This is the C5 Galaxy which is a huge cargo carrier that can open both ends of the plane to load shipments. IT was HUGE!! And of course John has his funnel cake! The above picture is holding the Gattling gun on his favorite jet, an A-10.

There were some beautiful planes there. And of course I had to take pictures!

And of course we had to see the Blue Angels. It was my first time, but of course it was one of John's favorites. I have to admit they were pretty amazing!
